Robert Frank
Robert Frank is an important
figure in American photography and film. His most notable work the 1958 book
titled The Americans was influential and earned Frank comparisons to a
modern-day de Tocqueville. It was fifty years ago that Robert Frank released
his iconic and historical work The Americans. Robert Frank’s work is now widely
considered an important intimate peak inside small-town America but originally it was not met
with open arms by all- at the time of release many of the images were considered
controversial while other critics just outright dismissed his work as a blurry
mess of nothingness.
